About Me

Welcome! 

My name is Jessica Webb.  I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over 16 years of therapeutic experience, specializing in marriage, family and couples counseling. I've owned a successful private practice for 10 years, become an author, supervisor, mentor and Life Coach to countless individuals.  It seems only fitting that I need a healthy and sustainable outlet in order to continue my journey as a healer and restorer in the lives of others. Thus, my sewing journey has begun.

I have been blogging off and on for nearly 10 years; mostly in the context of my therapeutic work but more recently, things for me have changed. I started teaching myself to sew back in 2015 and I knew immediately that it was something that I would be doing for the rest of my life.  It may sound theatrical, but sewing saved me.  It has helped me to become a better person, one who knows who she really is, FINALLY!  Not to mention that sewing has helped me develop into a better wife, mother and Therapist. Its no coincidence that these  are the things I love to share the most.  I give my truth, my experiences, my life and my faith. I thought it was finally time that I tie these goods and chattels together with a neat little bow.....and make it FASHION!

My sewing and Life Coaching journeys took shape independent of one another on the Instagram platform.  Having  built two solid, but separate communities,  I felt as if I was living a double life. One, immersed with folks who enjoyed engaging about sewing and fashion as the other would serve those who desired my relationship and personal development advice.  Eventually, I grew tired of being pulled between the two and almost gave up on all of it! In 2019, I decided to merge the two worlds and "The Fashionable Therapist" was born! 

I can now say that my community has the best of both worlds! You never know what I'll post and I think that's what my people love the most about my platform. Its because of this community that I feel the need to connect in a more in depth and personal way. I have learned and grown so much over these years and I've got a lot to share!  Here you can look forward to more fashion, more advice, more laughs and tons of encouragement!
